Hound Dogs are very popular back in the age when hunting was considered a sport. Hunting is still practiced today, but not as much as it was before. The reason for the popularity with dog fighters is that they have an innate ability to track their prey. They have a very keen sense of smell and sharp eyes. These two characteristics make them great hunters, proves to be very useful for us little people, whose senses are not as sharp as his.
